Who doesn’t know this massive release from Energy 52, being played by everyone, even progressive god Sasha. They are back, and with something special, maybe it will be released this year, but no date has been set yet. Read on...
When Energy 52 was released in ’93 nobody expected it to become that known. In the mean time it had several re-releases with remixes from Hybrid, Nalin & Kane, Three’N’One, Solar Stone, Oliver Lieb to name but a few. And numerous bootlegs, mash-ups and synergies. It was obvious that this tune would become one of the most known of the 90’s, and it did.
When Mixmag did a poll about the 100 best tunes ever, guess who came in first? Yep, that’s it, Energy 52 with Café Del Mar. The readers of Mixmag voted Café Del Mar best tune ever, what an honour!! With other releases like PvD’s For An Angel ranked second place, and Sasha’s Xpander at the 6th place.
What is new about this release you might think? Well, I’ve been told by a source that this time Café Del Mar will have vocals, yes, you read right, vocals. But the vocalist is not known yet. But I can imagine that it will be something in the line of Sarah McLachlan, Jan Johnston, or some other big vocalist. Howerer, it could be a guy singing. Who knows?
Keep an eye at [:Vibes] for more info, cause as soon as we know it, you will follow.
