© MArkus Schulz The next few weeks are going to be exciting ones for Markus Schulz as his launches his summer proper with a series of events, new singles, a GDJB tour and a massive seven hour set at Amnesia...

We've a fair bit of Markus Schulz news for you this evening as he embarks on one of his busiest summers to date. It's already been a very busy year for the state side international trance and progressive DJ with his latest city based compilation 'Las Vegas' and his new artist album 'Do You Dream?' being released. Two albums that I would recommend you get hold off as they both prove that Markus is a DJ and producer at the top of his game. If that’s not been enough to keep him busy then his schedule over the next few weeks certainly will be as his own record label Coldharbour Recordings pushes out its 100th release with Markus taking control of it personally with a brand new single 'Perception' featuring Justine Suissa.

Before the official street date though Markus will be celebrating the occasion with his very own Coldharbour Day on the 28th July. You might be able to blag it off work as a national holiday, even though its not one that you will find highlighted in an official diary its one that should be highlighted in yours. He will be joined by his fellow Coldharbour friends and teamed up with Afterhours for a full daily takeover that will see Markus spinning a four hour set in between his fellow artists and friends. July 28th – Coldharbour Day/CH100 Launch

Kicking off this constellation of events (full schedule of which you’ll find below) is the now-annual Coldharbour Day… For the last two years on July 28th, Coldharbour has celebrated landmark releases and events in its history. This 28th of July will be their biggest one yet…

On the day Coldharbour Citizens from around the planet will unite for a unique and special celebration as Markus Schulz and Coldharbour Recordings arrive at the verge of a major milestone - the label's 100th release. For his fans Markus will be presenting an entire day of sets mixed by a selection of Coldharbour DJs, producers, and contributors. The ones that have been instrumental in the imprint’s earliest successes, and those that have turned it into one of the most inventive, tip-of-the-trance-spear labels out there.

In association with Afterhours FM and other GDJB broadcast partners, Coldharbour Day will be highlighted by an exclusive 4 hour set from Markus himself, where he will showcase the hottest Coldharbour sounds under past, present and future guises. As with the 2008 & 2009 events, the big date for your calendars is Wednesday July 28th 2010.

August 3rd - Markus Schulz Ft. Justine Suissa ‘Perception’ Released

With the dust barely settled on Coldharbour Day and his first performance at Germany’s Nature One festival colossus spun (and broadcast live on Sunshine Live), the next major Summer of Schulz event will roll off onto the tarmac...

On August 3rd the next single to be taken from Markus’ iTunes smash artist album ‘Do You Dream’ will be released… The catalogue number is Coldharbour100 and the single is ‘Perception’. Featuring the haunting, enigmatic vocals of the legendary Justine Suissa, as many already know the track is Schulz’s much-anticipated remake/homage to the Cass & Slide classic - his self-professed favourite trancer of all time. The 100th release on his label will feature the original full length vocal and instrumental floor-carnivores and an additional skyscraper rework from those flying Fins Super8 & Tab.

August 5th - GDJB World Tour Budapest

On the 22nd of July Markus hit Budapest, where he span an explosive, exclusive-packed set; one that was recorded for broadcast for the GDJB World Tour date on August 5th. His last Budapest WT gig, back in October 2008 at White Angel was voted the most popular Global DJ Broadcast World Tour set of all time and Markus will be pulling out each and every stop to ensure that lightning strikes twice for the Hungarian capital…

August 10th - Markus Schulz 7hr Solo-Set @ Amnesia, Ibiza

To celebrate the release of ‘Do You Dream?’ Markus will be playing several special solo-set nights throughout 2010. Last month he gridlocked the main room at The Gallery, Ministry of Sound with the first, and they continue on the 10th of August when Markus takes control of the decks and music on the main floor at Armada @ Amnesia. Only the second DJ to carry an entire Armada night on his shoulders, Ibizan adventurers can look forward to a truly epic 7 hour journey that snakes & twists through the foothills of progressive and deep trance, rising up to the full-force uplifting heights.

From the Amnesia pulpit – and as part of his 8 date summer residency there - Markus will bring the collected Summer of Schulz events to a hot-house, high-velocity gripper of a climax. Being anywhere else on the island that night just won’t do!
