The Ministry of Sound's 'Underground' compilation series is back and for its 7th edition its delving into the world of Detroit techno, past and present....
The Ministry of Sound are a true powerhouse all over the world for electronic dance music of all styles and tastes. In short, they have more fingers in dance music pies than any other brand. Amongst the many hundreds of compilations one of the very best they deliver is their 'Underground' series which has been running for a few years now. The series focuses on the underground club sound of a particular sound and over the past few volumes has very much been house driven; bringing you the finest commercial free cuts they can get their hands on.
The series is just about to notch up its 7th release and this time they are going deep into the world of techno. A musical genre that is very much still in the underground and is a sound that’s very diverse encouraging creativity. Over the years many a legend of Techno has surfaced with the likes of Carl Craig, Chris Liebing and Adam Beyer being names the genre has a rich love affair with. Spread over two discs the compilation picks a selection of the very finest Detroit techno classics mixing them up with today’s underground up front cuts. You will find a spread of techno over 20 years old and no doubt remember sweating your face off to many of the tracks featured on here. It's techno as only the Underground can do it and is coming your way this September.
