Ireland has brought many new trance talents into the scene over the past few years and it’s the first stop for Discover's brand new compilation series. For the finest in Irish trance they present one of its rising stars Gary Maguire...
For the best part, the Discover label has been one of the biggest promoters for many a new rising Irish trance upstart over the past few years. You can hardly blame them as they have brought names like John O'Callaghan, Greg Downey, Bryan Kearney and Neal Scarborough into the limelight as trance talents to keen an eye out for. They are just about household names in any trance household that enjoys the genre with even the most casual of interest. It's not just trance of course that these talented gentlemen produce with such energy and passion as their music takes on many other influences outside the genre. Now then, Discover have launched a brand new compilation series that puts the focus on a particular country to highlight the finest trance tracks and talents it has to offer.
It's quite fitting that they should choose Ireland as the first having brought many of its now established names into the spotlight. They have turned to a familiar hand at mixing Discover compilations and one of the hottest properties on the trance scene, John Askew is a big fan, Gary Maguire. You may remember him from the second edition of the 'Dark Sessions' on Discover and no doubt from his single releases 'Standing Still' and 'Secrets'. He has collected together a very juicy looking collection of the finest tech and trance Ireland has to offer with tracks and remixes from Simon Patterson, John O'Callaghan, Adam Foley, Greg Downey and Bryan Kearney. Gary Maguire is a guy who has been gathering admirers with his hard hitting take on the trance sound and looks to have a very bright future. He has a lot of top name backing to ensure he does with John Askew, Activa, Tom Colontonio and John O’Callaghan rating this talented Irishman very highly. You can make up your own mind with his ‘Global Trance’ mix, I’m sure you’ll share the same opinion.
