 The biggest event in Trance has come to and end......to be replaced with an event they now like to call 'Energy'. It marks the end for a name that has been an essential diet for trance fanatics for over ten years...
It’s the end of a Trance era for the event known by millions around the world as Trance Energy. After eleven years of assembling the biggest names in trance for clubbers to go crazy at over one mental evening the last edition of 'Trance Energy' was earlier this year at the familiar surrounds of Jaarbeus, Utrecht. The ID&T promoters have decided to expand one of the most popular dance events of the year and dropped the 'Trance' tag in favour of a new event they just like to be known as 'Energy - We Are The Network'. It's sad occasion as Trance Energy has been the biggest trance focused event since it had its first ever night back in 1999, a year where the Trance sound exploded.
The event has not been wiped off the planet thoughts the new one 'Energy' will looked to import a more varied range of electronic styles, of which I'm sure Trance will be a big participant of, and invite artists from genres the world over. In this age of electronic music where styles consistently evolved and take influence from each other it does make sense to cater for the broad range, but don’t we have enough of those already? Time will tell but Trance Energy as we know it is no more, its all about the 'Energy'.
The first edition of this new event will be held on the 19th February with tickets on sale at some point during October. If your good with Dutch the full announcement is on the ID&T web site.
