High Contrast Presents Ronald van Gelderen

The Dutch network of labels which High Contrast Recordings have within its armoury has resulted in some of the finest electronic music released over the past decade. Their 'Presents' series is not just about bring the tracks that the label likes, its about one of their artist's personal music taste spread over two mixes. Previous editions of the compilation have been released on that old fashioned media format called a CD, remember it? The latest edition in the series for which they have chosen Roland Van Gelderen to put together is full on digital, not a rounded piece of media to in sight. The end result is not so music a double mix of Ronald's favourite tracks, past present and future but a collection of singles, as they will be releasing each record in full length as part of the release package.

You can't argue with that for value as he's picked 32 tracks in total with a few of his new one's in here. His latest single 'Semper Fi', which had a very uplifting remix from John O'Callaghan on the single release is featured in there along with his other more recent release 'Backstabberzz'. Roland follows on in the series after previous compilations from Rank 1, Jochen Miller, Marcel Woods and Joop, which are all in house artists for the High Contrast Recordings label who reached its 100th release this year. They will for sure be notching up another 100 in years to come and for a glimpse of some of the artists who will be part of that, check out Ronald's compilation. It's out right now.
