Take a deep breath as your about to be treated to a breathtaking euphoric journey by JayB on Breathe Music. He's not alone with this release as he's drafted in Daniel Kandi and Kay Stone for a hand...

It's a warm welcome back this month for Breathe Music who has been laying low this Summer in a gear up for some serious Autumn music releases. Here is the first one off the production line with a new single from Jayb who has drafted in the vocals of Sandra Wagner for his brand new track ‘Desire’. It’s not the first experience I’ve had from this gentleman who has a talent for delicate euphoric precision with his releases. He’s set his stall out with this one as you don’t expect to hear a bad remix from the likes of Daniel Kandi, no exceptions here either. More remixes are from Kay Stone, Gabriele Menten and the inclusion of a ‘Rock’ mix just for that something different. This German born producer has got a lot of talent for electronic production, just what has he delivered with his latest?

:: Original Mix
:: Dub Mix
:: Kay Stone Remix
:: Daniel Kandi Remix
:: Gabriele Menten Remix
:: Rock Version

JayB's production here is very strong with a very vibrant and up beat opening lead. He's crafted together warm and soft flowing bass lines, dripping a Piano key as the track builds up to the vocal. I think the vocal for the original mix is a matter of preference really. He uses a vocal to act as a back drop melody but it’s the main vocal for me that maybe run over the main breakdown a bit too much. The production is right on the button though for me, even if the vocal was not for me, there is a Dub version so it’s all good. The Dub version drives through the uplifting and euphoric vibe, only dropping in splashes of the vocal to leave the pure elements of the track in full flow.

Looking at the remixes here and one name should take to a track like this a duck does to water. Gabriele Menten’s remix drops a rough edge on the euphoric nature of the original, having notched the pace down a touch and driven in percussion that’s very infrequent. It’s darker than the other remixes. Certainly more so that Kay Stone’s remix which comes across a little moody and progressive. It’s all in the way the beat come across and the harmonic strings that ripple out a real echo on the main break. The keys for it are very well worked though and all the core elements in there combine to give it that moody feel. The main vocal is stripped away though. That’s also something which Daniel Kandi did for his remix and went straight for instrumental injection for his remix. For me, it’s the pick of the whole release with driving chords on the lead bursting with energy, a sweeping atmospheric break building the energy and letting rip with a massive main melody. It’s sharp and crisp and by the time it builds up to a drum roll you’re just waiting for the melody to drop and the euphoria to begin.

Where the vocal failed to strike me in just original mix the 'Rock' version is just where it belongs. Don't think, it’s a heavy rock song as its not, more a soft rock ballad to tickle the ear drums with featuring some gorgeous guitar riffs. The vocal may be in German, but it fits in with this version perfect.

Conclusion:
While the vocal for me was a bit to overpowering on the original the production was spot on and another fine example of Jayb's thrust for massively driving Trance. The remixes were nice and varied but head straight to the Daniel Kandi remix as he's taken this tracks engine to bits and done a bit of fine tuning.
