VANDIT have been celebrating their 10th Anniversary in some serious style this year with huge events across the globe and the announcement of their tie in with Armada. Not done yet because on it’s way is the very best of compilation featuring tracks from the past decade...
One of the most iconic record labels within Electronic dance music turned 10 years old this year. VANDIT is the record label of Paul van Dyk, who started up his own label back in 2000 after a lengthy legal battle with his old record label MFS with regards to his own music. In a way that fallout was god that it happened otherwise we may have never had VANDIT. Since the labels birth it's been home to the finest Trance records ever released. Of course Paul won't tell you its juts a Trance label in this day of age, but that’s its the music style the label is most well known for and does best in many people's opinion.
Having been an independent label for the first ten years it was earlier on this year VANDIT announced their partnership with electronic music powerhouse Armada. It’s a move that can only be positive for VANDIT and one which is proving so with a regular stream of releases each week and a new catalogue that is in its 9th release already. Armada are one of the biggest record labels on the scene at the moment and with the addition of VANDIT to their ever growing list they will only get bigger. From a promotional point of view, VANDIT is getting more exposure than ever and Paul can only be please with the direction his label is heading in as we begin a new decade.
Enough of a history lesson anyway, on with the news in question and its news on Paul van Dyk’s ‘Ten Year’s Of’ VANDIT compilation, which has been posted on the VANDIT sites for a few months now since they began their birthday celebrations. With all the restructuring the label has undergone with its tie in with Armada it’s been a release that has been pushed back until this autumn. The compilation will pick out records from their past catalogue of the last ten years. There is a huge selection to filter down into this very special release with new remixes and a new track by Paul van Dyk called ‘We Come Together’. The final list of records to feature has not yet been published but Armada have released an exclusive clip featuring the new track from Paul. Check it out below.
