In anticipation of his new Sunlounger album Roger Shah is hosting his first ever concert this Friday in Mexico City. It's something that bit different to your usual Shah experience but one if you can, not to be missed...
With the release of his 3rd Sunlounger album imminent, Balearic maestro Roger Shah (ranked as the 21st biggest DJ in the world by DJ Mag) is about to undertake his most ambitious Artist/DJ hybrid performance to date.
On the night of October 15th in the hotbed hustle of downtown Mexico City he will celebrate the release of ‘The Beach Side of Life’ (in shops October 24th) with Roger Shah: Magic Island in Concert. There he will perform an electronic dance music spectacular the expanse of which has rarely, if ever, been seen before. This specially created one-off concert (which sold-out a month in advance) will take place in front of a 3000+ capacity crowd at Foro Corona in the heart of the Mexican capital.
With his legendarily hard-working studio ethic he has produced numerous solo tracks, many collaboration pieces and had a myriad of pseudonym outings. This has put Roger in the enviable position of being able to perform an incredible 65 of his own tracks in one epic, fluid 6 hour long ‘mix’ concert. Throughout the course of the night, this extraordinary gig will feature an incredible 18 live-on-stage vocal performances from regular Shah vocal contributors including Chris Jones, Inger Hansen, Lorilee, Zara Taylor and Adrina Thorpe.
‘Going Wrong’, ‘Lost’ ‘Don’t Wake Me Up’, ‘Found’, Back To You’, You’re So Cool, I’m Not God’, ‘To The Sky’ & ‘Who Will Find Me’ are just a handful of the club anthems, both contemporary and classic, that South American fans at Foro Corona will be hearing Roger perform, all in his own unique, inimitable fashion. The man in white will thrill & wow, but above all he’ll do what he does best… entertain!
