If you think Roger Shah spends all his afternoons spread out on a sunny beach with a piano for company then think again. He's been a very busy guy over the past few months and while his music reflects a relaxed purity that has its own unique feel about it his schedule is anything but relaxing. No complaints from music lovers though as his latest collection of audio artwork is now out with the new Sunlounger album. It’s an alias which Roger goes full on chilled with and puts you in a place only Mr Shah’s magic creations can. 'The Beach Side Of Life' – Out Now

Roger Shah's third stunning Sunlounger album was released last week and is available to buy through all the usual channels. Featuring 12 new heart of the sun tracks, ‘The Beach Side’s music is purpose built to drive Autumn’s chillier aspects from your mind! It includes the smash Zara Taylor-vocalled 'Found' as well as her & Roger’s latest, 'Feels Like Heaven'. There are also new vocal collaborations with regular Shah singers and songstresses including Inger Hansen, Lorilee & Antonia Lucas and, as with previous Sunlounger albums, Disc 2 contains stunning down-tempo versions for those sunrise sessions.

'Beach Side' Remix Contest - The Winners

In the run up to the release of Beach Side, Roger's record label Magic Island ran a major remix competition. With 3 tracks to choose from the take-up from budding studio-heads was substantial. 400 of them took to their desks, with entries coming in from as far away as Kenya, India & Malaysia. Such was the quality level that the label only managed to narrow is down to the last 5 remixes. Scotland’s Liquid Vision & NL redrew 'Acapulco Waves', Dusk Till Dawn and RowB got busy on Son of a Beach and the Ukraine’s Incognet produced a sun-filled bliss-fest on 'Trademark White'. All the original versions and remixes have been collated onto the Roger Shah Presents Sunlounger 'The Beach Side of Life' Sampler’ and are out now. You can get them direct from the Armada webstore.

Roger Shah: Magic Island In Concert

On Friday October 16th at the immense, impressive Foro Corona in the heart of Mexico City, Roger pulled off his first Magic Island In Concert sound, stage and light spectacular. In front of the 4000+ international crowd (many who had flown in especially for the night) the man in white performed an incredible 65 of his tracks throughout the six hours. Also there to lend support were Chris Jones (pictured), Inger Hansen, Adrina Thorpe, Zara Taylor and Lorilee, who all brought the vocals to life. When he finally stepped off stage at 4am Roger described the night as "the highlight of my career so far"... There are already numerous uploads from the Magic Island In Concert on YouTube and Roger will be bringing his own video-logue to the M.I. channel soon!

DJ Mag 2010 Poll – Third Year In A Row For Roger!

After two months and a new record high number of votes polled, DJ Mag unveiled their '10 Top 100 spinners chart at the London & Manchester staged events last Wednesday. It’s been another incredible showing for Roger - the Man In White has taken the no.34 position and made it his third consecutive year in the poll. Through his gigs, albums, compilations & singles he’s had an amazing journey throughout 2010. Roger says: "heartfelt thanks to every one of you who placed my name in one of your voting boxes. In so many ways 2011 is going to deliver some magical things... I can’t wait to share them with to you!”
