When it comes to knocking out fresh, juicy and inventive records that spilt genres in half, Discover has fast become a master at it. One example of this genre twisting is with their critically acclaimed 'Dark Sessions' compilation series. It's a series that looks deeper into trance than their other main compilations and upsets a few feathers to deliver a truly moody and aggressive display of sounds. They have enlisted the aid of a well know in house duo for the third edition of this dark and twisted series.
Chris & Matt Kidd is a pair who flirts with trance, tease techno and come away with a mixture between the both on each arm. There moody and bass heavy tech driven productions over the past few years on the Discover label have given them quite a reputation, one quite fitting with the whole philosophy of the ‘Dark Sessions’. Some may call it tech trance, others may just refer to it as pure electronic filth but later on this month you can make up your own mind with the third edition of this irresistibly moody mix series
