It's a fascinating insight into the production mind of Leon Bolier this month as he opens up his studio for a sneak preview of his latest audio delights. If you ever wanted a look into just how he produces the music he does his latest video on Lean Bolier TV should give a good idea. He would also like to thank everybody who voted for him in this year’s DJ Mag Top 100 where he currently sits at number 68.

Polls, Polls, Polls! Charts, Charts, Charts!

Remember when October used to be that useless month nobody liked? Well not any more! Now (if you have even the remotest interest in DJ-dom at any rate) its when you find out what time it really is! With the release of ‘Phantasma’, the launch of his Streamlined label and a packed gig diary, Leon’s had pretty intensive threesixfive in 2010. That’s all been reflected in another very healthy showing in DJ Mag’s Top 100, where he landed as no. 68 - his third consecutive year in the poll no less!. He’s also charted at No.20 in Trance Addict’s annual Top 250 countdown and No. 10 (even!) in the TrancePodium’s 100 rundown.

For all that voted for him, Leon has an important message: "from the bottom of my heart, thanks for your time - the time you used to put my name forward in this year's polls. It really meant a lot to me; without you I wouldn't be where I am today!"

Flash Forward: St Petersburg & Grotesque Amsterdam

Among several gig highlights this month, Leon will be making a long overdue return to play in Russia. Visas fully checked and in order, he’ll be rocking roofs off at Follow Life @ the tongue-twisting Club
Zal Ozidaniya in St Petersburg on the 13th. You can get the full details of the night here. Then, the following weekend will see that Queen of the Seas (ok, canals!), the Ocean Diva provide the setting for a night of clubbing, cruising and cavorting. It’ll be all hands on decks as Leon, Cosmic Gate and Cliff Coenraad take command of the ship's during the Grotesque Amsterdam event. Fancy some of that action?! Bolier TV In November

Leon has just onlined two new production tutorials for his YouTube channel. In Part.1 he takes you on a tour of his studio nerve centre, stopping off at highlights including his Mackie Big Knob (no sniggering at the back please), Nord Rack 2x, and Nicotine Removal Unit 1.

In Part. 2 meanwhile you can get deeper in the music itself as L.B. demonstrates how he’s been building his latest audio opus from the kick-drum up. You can check it out, along with all the other V.T. goodness on Leon’s YouTube channel.

The Bolier Room

This month Leon is musing on the latest signing to his label. Over to you L.B.:
"After the massive Daniel Kandi single 'Symphonica', New York City's Tom Colontonio brings his latest offering to Streamlined recordings: ‘Palladium’. A deeper proggy and groovy approach to the Colontonio sound, yet the T.C. power of course is present. A beautiful melody layered on top of a deep bassline, I instantly fell in love with it and hence signed it to my label.”

The Streamlined Radio Show

As our planet Earth tumbles wildly through space (albeit in a tight geosynchronous orbit around the Sun) it’s reassuring to know that the radio arm of Streamlined is reaching out to every corner of it.

Keeping you up to date with all that’s right in electronic dance music, you can catch this broadcast on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month between the hours of 19.00 and 20.00 CET through ah.fm. Once you’ve listened you can head off to bed safe in the knowledge that everything’s really going to be…OK!
