Since VANDIT moved over to the mighty Armada label earlier this year they did with a number of their in house artists. Alex M.O.R.P.H. is one of those who now have a new home on the Armada network following the label move. They may be locking down their releases tighter than a size ten garment on a sumo wrestler over the past month, but they are coming through with some exciting new music before the year is out. Alex M.O.R.P.H. has done the hat trick of artist album, compilation mix and artist album remixed over the past year or so and I’m sure he must have been thinking up of an original concept for his next long player. It’s soon to arrive, but its not an artist one.

It is a collection of some of the finest trance records ever created spread over two discs but not in the form you may remember. Alex has taken it upon himself to put his own adaptation of nineteen all time heavyweights for his collection of classics. It’s a ‘’Classics get remixed not just a collection of mixes you will have on countless other compilations, no doubt a few that pop up before the end of the year as Santa warms his cockles up for another busy day. Being a top quality remixer is nothing of a rarity for Mr M.O.R.P.H as he has produced superb remixes for the scene’s biggest names. The question is why Alex wanted to add a personal touch to these all time bombs:

”All of these tracks belong to my personal all time favorites in this music genre. They open up a lot of memories for me. They are fantastic and timeless compositions and sounds that marked a new era at that time—but they don’t sound up to date in 2010. The idea is not to make ‘just another remix’ of a classic, but to transform the original spirit of these productions and gain the quality to the highest level. And I’m sure many people will be infected now as we were a decade ago! I still love these classics today, that’s why I wanted to put my hands on them.”

Now you know. I think any trance fan will be foaming at the mouth to see what he's done to classics like Veracocha's 'Carte Blance' and Insigma sensational 'Open Our Eyes'. A few of his remixes you may have already heard on your travels if you've been keeping up to date with the trance scene in recent months. The majority here though is all new, and all wrapped up in Alex M.O.R.P.H's very own individual style.
