Onova - Acrhipelago [Monster Tunes]

Onova has been setting the trance scene alight this year with some sensational productions. He's ready to drop another one before the end of the year with his new release on Monster called 'Acrhipelago'...

Since his breakthrough release back in 2007 on this very label his new euphoric monster appears, Onova has carved out a good reputation for producing quality trance music. My first audio memory would be his smash hit 'Platitude' which for me goes down as an all time classic for decades to come. The track blended uplifting elements with a melody that could melt the polar ice caps with its warmth. Since then, it’s been onwards and upwards for this huge talent, known as Christian Lejon who started off creating music at the tender age of 16. He’s a bright future with his music being supported by the likes of Paul van Dyk, Above & Beyond and most notable Armin van Buuren who personally requested this track for his recent ‘Armin Only - Mirage’ event. You’re not doing to bad at the old music game if Armin is itching to get hold of your tracks. Monster Tunes have been a good home for Christian over the years and his last release was another epic, ‘Timotej’. His latest, ‘Acrhipelago’ which will be out just before Christmas next month is another one.

No doubt if you have heard any of Onova's previous solo work you will have a little idea what to expect. This is a big room trancer with some serious muscle. The lead in is banging as can be with a firm kick drum and aggressive kicks. Building up after a short flat beat intro comes in a scruffy acid riff bass line that gets you hooked immediately. While that’s bubbling underneath over the top drives a beautiful leading melody full of vibrancy. It’s a build up that cannot do anything but drawn you into the orchestral brilliance of the main break and melody. Once that melody sweeps into nothing and the percussion, beats and bass line fade away you’re sent into pure euphoria. A sensational string with massive impact plays as a vocal chord sweeps over the top. The melody then begins to feed in, filtered slightly but gathering in intensity. The climax comes when the main beat kicks in and the track gets into full swing. It’s uplifting trance as you could ever get it with the vocal creating a deeply emotion rich atmosphere to go with the melody.

Conclusion:
It's no surprise Armin was after this monster of a tune for his show a few weeks ago, it’s a mind bender. Onova brilliant single to add to Onova's ever impressive discography and an essential trance single for those into the uplifting beats.
