Black Hole And UDC are proud to announce the coming of a new mix compilation series, entitled concept. The series will compliment the events brought to you by united dance company, Hollands mose innovative party organisation. The UDC concept name is one of the hottest brands on the market, and Black Hole’s secret weapon, DJ Montana, is here to tell you why. So watch out for Montanas massive dancefloor destruction, in a club near you soon… Here is the review of Concept, read on...
Concept Mixed by DJ Montana In 1999 Montana compiled and mixed his first compilation on Black Hone Recordings, Spage Age 2.0, together with DJ Tiesto. A year later, he takes Space Age 3.0 to a whole new level all by himself, and makes it perfectly clear he’s capable of telling his own story. Follow-ups Spage Age 4.0 nd 5.0 were both released in 2001. Now Montana has mixed the official concept CD, a new series to compliment the events from united dance company, Hollands most innovative party organisation. Montana is named resident of the concept events, who features big names by the names of Dave Clarke, Sven Vath and Billy Nasty.
Montana is a producer of great techno tracks as well, and has released several records on Black Hole and avanti. His new release will be the theme from concept, with remixes from Michael De Hey and Umek.
Montana plays many gigs around europe, south-america and Israel, and has rocked all of the big Dutch summer festivals mainstages from mysteryland, Dance Valley and Impulze Outdoor. His livesets consist of rhythmitic and grindind techno and club music.

Review: The CD begins slowly with a track with soft bass and extremly catchy strings. This track builds up near the end and the next track comes along with a bit more energy, I like the way Montana has mixed this and I was hoping the rest of the CD would be similar, and it is!. Track 3 is a little more funky than the previous two and has more drive to it, it blends in perfectly with the other two tracks and is a good choice and a good position to have this sound. Track 4 goes into a more deeper style and has that sort of deep house feeling to it, another good selection here. Track 5 comes in with a tint of progressive sound to its beat and is less uptempo than the others so far. Track 6 makes you feel like the mix is about to get energetic as its more uptempo than the previous 3 tracks. Track 7 is one of my favourites on the CD as I love the way the “vocal” sound is worked on this track, on the producers side. Very cool and does actually give you a feeling that you are being attacted by venus! Track 8 is of s little more energy once again and has a nice rhythm to it. The same for track 9. Now track 10 is where we get a little different. A more ambient feeling towards to start, it sort of reminds me of Tiestos track magic Journey is some way, overall view on track 10 is a ncie mellow intro leading nto a very dancable beat. Perfect for giving you a rest after dancing for 9 tracks already!. Track 11 is now beginning to work into a more energetic feeling with a techno type sound coming in here. Track 12 is awesome! And just wants to make you get up and dance all night long! It’s a combination of very funky bassline with a nice vocal effect going along with it. 13 is getting more melodic with nice bassline and also has the ability to make many people move! Track 14 is now very good and has a mixed feeling towards it it seems to incorporate many different genres within one sound. A very good track and placed nicely in the mix!. Number 15 is a pretty great track with a funky kind of progressive and techno edge through it, another quite varient track which is good coming towards the end of the CD. Track 16 the final track and I know when you get this far you already have it in your mind to go right back to the start and listen to the entire mix all over again, and will probably repeat this cycle for a few times a day at least! 16 is a perfect track to end the compilation with.
So on a roundup, the mixing is perfect, the track selection is great! The positioning of the tracks is great, its released by one of the biggest record companies in the industry and its overall got a great atmosphere! This is one for all! As there is no set genres on it. A must get for your many pre-club nights. This will get in the mood for sure!
