If you've not heard of Christopher Lawrence by now then you must have been in hibernation for the past twenty years. Over the course of the past two decades he's been at the forefront of the trance music scene and is one of the biggest electronic artists in America, not to mention the world today. His monthly rush of audio over the airwaves has only been running for the past 2 years with this April being the 3rd birthday for ‘Rush Hour Radio’. His show is a place for news and exciting trance producers to display to the world their production talent trading blows with the established crop of trance producers for a spot over the one hour mix by Christopher Lawrence. The second hour of the show is handed over to a producer of his choice with a showcase of their DJ style in the mix. As the show is coming up to its birthday Christopher has launched a competition for you to guest spot on the April edition of ‘Rush Hour Radio’.

Calling all bedroom DJs... Christopher Lawrence is launching a mix contest that will give one up and coming trance DJ the opportunity to be featured as the guest mix on the three year anniversary show of Rush Hour in April 2011. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to get your sound heard by thousands of listeners on Digitally Imported and our FM affiliates, on the Rush Hour podcast and website. Winner will also be included in the official press materials for the anniversary episode.

Christopher Lawrence says “My radio show Rush Hour has always been about supporting up and coming producers and DJs, particularly those in the underground trance scene. There are so many talented DJs out there who deserve to get their sound heard and I hope this contest will help to do that”.

It's a monster of a competition and a very exclusive opportunity to have you mix aired on one of the scene's biggest monthly trance shows. I might even dust off the old DMJ600 and knock out a few tracks, and if I can put a mix together any budding trance artists should have no problem. There are a few rules so make sure you obey them and send you entry in by the 15th March. Oh, and keep it trance please!

CONTEST RULES

1. Contest is open to DJs of all ages.
2. Mixes must in the trance genre.
3. All mixes must be original.
4. Mixes must be exactly 60 minutes.
5. Tracklist must be supplied and include artist, title and label.
6. Please include your name and contact details.
7. MP3 download links should be sent to mixcontest2011@christopherlawrence.com
8. Deadline for entries is midnight on Tuesday March 15th, 2011 (PST).
