Arnej Launches New label With Be Yourself Music 'Arnej Music'

First up is Canada’s hottest trance progeny (and 2010 Top 100 DJs debutante), Arnej… They will be working together to create Arnej Music.

Over the last 3 years Toronto-based producer Arnej Šeæerkadiæ has spearheaded a new era of trance cool. His brooding, complex, panoramic productions, set against minimally-minded, ‘less-is-more’ synth work have risen to become staples in the sets of forward thinking decktitions from a wide scope of EDM disciplines.

Arnej originally cut his production teeth halfway through the last decade mastering for, and then A&Ring the Somatic Sense label. In addition to releasing music there, his earliest tracks (under his similarly respected 8 Wonders pseudonym) quickly found their way onto the release schedules of Lost Language and Anjunabeats. Through evocative tracks (with redolent titles) like ‘They Always Come Back’, ‘There Are No Coincidences’, ‘Beginning of the End’ and ‘The Strings That Bind Us’ (on labels like Coldharbour, Pilot 6 & Armind), he has crafted a reputation as the go-to producer for sharp-end trance… with serious floor intent.

On announcing the launch of Arnej Music, he said: “my greatest ambition for the label is for its music to reach as wide a cross-section of electronic dance music lovers as possible. Be Yourself Music has outstanding channels to assist in achieving this, built up through their other cutting-edge imprints. I’m very much looking forward to working with their team in developing and expanding my first label venture.”

The first produce to come from the label will be Arnej’s own ‘Free of You’, which features the emotionally charged vocals of highly talented Montréal-based singer, Sally Saifi. Backed by Arnej’s moody, edgy beats, super-tight production and pounding progressive thematic, it’s a track primed to spread like wildfire across 2011’s dancefloors. Hot on its heels, on February the 21st comes his ‘Heroes of Newerth’ project – the soundtrack he created for the multi-million selling, award winning MMORPG game of the same name.

On joining forces with Arnej Music, Be Yourself Music owner Dick de Groot commented: “through his music, Arnej has brought his own dimension to trance music. These are the people we want to get behind and push. Both the quality of his productions and his previous A&R experience will stand him well in making Arnej Music one of the labels to watch in 2011.”

Arnej Music signs in on the 7th of February with ‘Free of You’, which will be available through all good digital download retailers.
