There is only one story that dominates this month's update from Solarstone and that’s the announcement of the second incarnation of Electronic Architecture. More news on that here as well as the very latest from Solaris…
The announcement last week that Solarstone is due to release the second edition of Electronic Architecture goes us very excited. You know you’re not going to get any old rubbish from Rich Mowatt, that’s Solarstone btw, and the prospect of two discs full of his chosen music mixed together effortlessly by one of the best in the scene is one that will excite even the most casual dance music fan. Think of the second one not as a sequel, or follow up, but a whole new musical journey through the many tones and shades of electronic dance music. What those shades will be, only time will tell as we gather more information on the music for the album. If its quality music you need right now, have a look at the very latest releases on the Solaris label this month, they are very good.
SOLARSTONE ANNOUNCES ELECTRONIC ARCHITECTURE ²
There’s only one story in the Solarverse this month, but it’s as big as they come. With its epic licensing and in-key mixing mission at an end Richard is delighted to announce that Electronic Architecture² will reach record shelves and download stores in April.
Not a sequel, not a ‘Pt II’, but, in his words, “an evolution” – (as denoted by that ‘squared’ sign at the end of the title!). EA² will once again project its unique dual concept of incredible music and imagination-capturing art out into the big wide world.
Electronic Architecture's first incarnation was nominated in the prestigious Best Compilation Album at the 2010 IDMA - International Dance Music Awards (running against releases by artists including Deadmau5, Paul van Dyk, Above & Beyond and Armin van Buuren). It won heavy press acclaim (and much fan love) for its unique concept, with Tilllate Magazine hailing it as “a magical blend of music, art and design” and DJ Mag called it “a genuine gem”. Now its next-level time!
Details of the music and art angles are yet to be unveiled, but one thing is for absolute certain… a second helping of progressive mellowdrama thru to dynamic trance will soon be sitting next to your copy of Electronic Architecture!
