You should really check up on Jonas Stenberg more as he's one of the rising stars on the trance circuit with some super releases over the past few months. There's more on its way to with a new podcast and everything else Stenberg related this month...
Jonas Stenberg is one of the biggest talents to come from Scandinavia in recent years and it looks to be a rise that will keep on climbing. The energetic young Swede has a firm ear for trance and its very diverse styles today’s producers put into the genre. A few of his producers you may well have heard over the past few weeks with a new track in collaboration with Evol Waves called ‘Go’ out right now. You can find out all about that in his news update this month and more on Jonas in the next week as he prepares to drop his brand new website live on the 1st March.
Studio Stenberg
Has had the electricity company earning its kronas of late. After ‘Burnout’ & ‘Frantic’ - 2009’s twin-barrel tear-up - Jonas has re-teamed with Evol Waves for ‘Go’. Another grinding, toughly percussive high-tension tech-trancer, the likes of Judge Jules, Mark Sherry, tyDi & Marcus Schössow have all been spotted spinning its praises in recent sets and shows. You can get ‘Go’ now via the Musical Madness imprint by hitting one of the following links with some swift, ninja-like mouse clicks. Beatport-it here. Studio Stenberg... Part Deux!
Jonas has also been hot on the remix of Ron van den Beuken & T.O.M.’s ‘The Voice Inside’, which is out now on RR/Spinnin’ Records and comes with heavyweight, rubber-stamped support from Judge Jules, Gareth Emery, Jochen Miller, Lange, W&W and a multitude more. Next up from Jonas (in solo-mode this time) will be ‘I Will Find You’, which will include some mighty tasty remixes and will be heading your way via the High Contrast label at a yet-to-be-determined, but not too distant point in the future. Gig Lookback: The Gallery at MoS London
Taking over the controls at Markus Schulz’s birthday bash from the man himself, Jonas took the bang-up-for-it Ministry crowd on a wild ride when he made his second appearance at the club at the start of this month. Laying down a trademark, textbook tough-sound set, he brought a big night to a fittingly humungous conclusion. You can check the night highlights (of which there were many!) via YouTube and view the Gallery’s, er, gallery here! Gig Horizon: Seoul & Basel – Double Debut On fast approach are two new country debuts for Jonas. On April 9th he’ll reach Club Heaven in Seoul central for his first gig in South Korea. For more info on that gig, you can check the club’s portal here. Then, just a little bit short of a month later, it’ll be Switzerland that gets its inaugural taste of the Stenberg sound. Sonic 16 is the (very large) festival, High Contrast Recordings hosts the stage and May 7th is the date when Jonas will hard-rock Basel down to its historic foundations.
