Not heard much or anything at all about two guys who called themselves the Space Rockerz? Well, after being singed by Black Hole Recordings, Armada and Coldharbour Recordings we think you might well do in the future. Here's a heads up on this exciting new trance due...
The Space Rockerz are two young refreshing talents, Michael Calderone and Austin Hall, establishing themselves as the next all American, up and coming DJ/producers of today. Armed with uncanny engineering abilities, lethal signature electro, rock infused, trance sets and with stamps of approval from trance heavyweights; Tiësto, Armin van Buuren and Markus Schulz; the Space Rockerz are destined for success! Calderone can be described as the techy, sound design wizard while Hall encapsulates genius; a trained musician with perfect pitch, replacing turntables for an array of keyboards, together they are simply in a league of their own.
Over the past few years, Space Rockerz have produced a wealth of singles and remixes wedged firmly under their belts, including “Weather the Storm”, “Zegema Beach”, “When In Rome”, “Written In The Starz” and “Save The Planet” all signed to Tiesto’s Black Hole Recordings label. Armin van Buuren’s label Armada Music and Markus Schulz’ Cold Harbor Recordings quickly followed, by releasing Space Rockerz’ remix of Skytech’s “Comet”, TyDi Ft. Tania Zygar’s “Vanilla”, and Markus Schulz’ “Rain”, all of which have been featured on numerous mixed compilations such as Altered Trance Vol 8, Global SoundSystems mixed byTYDI, Johan Gailen’s “Summer Sessions 2010”, andIn Trance We Trust mixed byDaniel Wanrooy.
This year we can look forward to follow up gems “Puzzle Piece” (a collaboration with Tania Zygar), “Crooked Hook”, “Get Down City” and “Jet Packin” all poised for release on Black Hole and Armada. Earning the respect and support from jocks aside from the obvious Tiesto, Armin and Markus Schulz; Super 8 + Tab, Lange, Andy Moor andCosmic Gate are also big fans; by playing out the Space Rockerz tunes to many a crowd.
The Space Rockerz are no stranger to rocking a festival themselves, where they’re becoming notorious for playing a series of Fresh Festivals in their home state of California, as well as the infamous Insomniac Festivals.
Keen to keep their name in the headlines, Space Rockerz now spend most of their time working on productions and remixes, touring nationwide and working on their debut artist album for 2012. Look out for the Space Rockerz at a festival near you!
