© SolarstoneSolarstone has a few more things than his stunning new mix album coming your way this month as he's remixed 'Yeke Yeke' which is getting a release 25 years after its original debut...

It won’t be long until one of the most anticipated compilations this year will see the light of day as Solarstone unleashes another audio masterpiece with Electronic Architecture…2! You may have already watched the album trailer but its well worth looking at again just to offer you a glimpse of what you’re in for. You still have plenty of time to enter the Electronic Architecture art tool competition and enter our very own competition to win yourself a signed copy of Solarstone’s new album!

In the coming weeks leading up to the album’s release audio clips of each of the tracks will be added to Solarstone’s Soundcloud page which you can check out below. Not just album news here though. Remember an old dance track called ‘Yeke Yeke’ by Mory Kante? Well, it’s due a re-release after 25 years and Solarstone has put together his very own remix of it.

EA² Music Now Premiering On SoundCloud

Fed out of Soundcloud and starting today, clips of each and every track from the new 'Electronic Architecture album will feature on the microsite

From Prog greats like Hybrid, Tilt and Medway, to EA1 alumni inc. Majera and Jahawi + the completely new, yet-to-be-heard names like Piotro, Aerium and Offo Ezzy, the audio Solarstone has been uncovering over the 9 month A&R period is premiering. Delivering the soundtrack to your design recreations (see Become The Electronic Architect below), it all combines to create the most incredible, interactive multimedia expo Solarstone has come up with yet!

Mory Kanté's 'Yéké Yéké' - Solarstone's Deep 'n' Throbbing Mix

Having quickly reached anthem status on both the Balearic Beats and nascent trance scenes, Mory Kanté's legendary 'Yéké Yéké' is 25 years old next year. No better time could there be for a re-release then! Loverush UK are the imprint that have bagged its honours and as part of the new rollout Solarstone has created an extraordinary, ever-building, seratonin-homing, 9-minute love missile of a remix!! You can check Rich's reconstruction now via the label's SoundCloud page.

Electronic Architecture² Rising

Two years ago this month Solarstone released the album Electronic Architecture… It was nominated for Best Comp at the 2010 IDMAs and won press plaudits for its imaginative concept, with Tilllate hailing it as "a magical blend of music, art and design" and DJ Mag calling it "a genuine gem." Now the follow-up to this boundary breaking mix adventure is near. "EA²' captures the essence of what we all love about trance" says MIXMAG in their April's Trance Album of the Month review and as designated by its 'squared²' tag, its not a 'Pt.II', but an evolutionary next stage. EA²' is ready to unfurl a landmark sound-design. Using super-immersive meticulous mixing techniques crossed with bespoke graphic aspects, on the 25th of April its geometric/isometric futuristic sky cities will rise again! Explore on...

The EA² Microsite: Where YOU Become The Electronic Architect!

Housing the Art aspect of Electronic Architecture²'s multi-media release is its incredible portal. There - in another first for Solarstone - you're able to deconstruct EA²'s cover art and re-build your own vision of its spectacular towering super-structures!

Clips of the music are going online there now and providing the soundtrack to this powerful, fun, flexible (and dead easy-use!) tool. Point your mouse here … and become the Electronic Architect!

Electronic Architecture²'s Trailer Online

Want to get your first dive-in to the new Electronic Architecture music? Course you do and here's how! Jump to the Solarstone YouTube channel or the album Microsite and roll the 5-minute, whistle-stop video tour of Electronic Architecture². There you'll get an instamatic-hit of the type of new music on offer, backed, of course, by the state-of-the-art visuals!

One Great Album... One Incredible Competition!

To tie in with the album's release, we've got an incredible competition (with a fantastic prize!) for you to enter. We want you to design your own version of the its front cover using the web-based Electronic Architect tool during the run up to release.

Once you're happy with your creation, hi-res screenshot it and send it to EAcompetition@solarstone.co.uk.

The comp is open until the 5th of May so you've got plenty of time to get your entry in. The winner will get a framed, one-of-a-kind A2 reproduction of your design alongside the original's artwork + a sackload of other 'EA²' goodies!

The New Solarstone Single - Big Wheel

‘Big Wheel’ represents Solarstone’s first freshly recorded material post the ‘Touchstone’ album. The Original mix will feature as an exclusive on Electronic Architecture²’ and across its two distinct style-sets it’s about to light up trance-floors of multiple denominations. At the heart of ‘Big Wheel’ is its lilting, evocative, hypnotic vocal refrain. Unusual, quirky and singularly bewitching, Richard gives the Original a powerful, prog-trance chassis, backing it with stunning, swirling synthology. For the Solarstone Pres. Smashing Atoms remixes, the horsepower is multiplied tenfold and ‘Big Wheel’ rolls out into the middle of a peak-time club-floor. ‘Big Wheel’ will be released on the 25th of April, but you can check it through on the new EA portal here.
