Richard Durand announces release of “In Search Of Sunrise 9 - India”

With the successful, eighth and IDMA Award nominated predecessor of the series still in our minds, Richard Durand announces the release of “In Search Of Sunrise 9, India”. The new double mix compilation is supported by an extensive world tour that will see its kick-off on May 14th with an exclusive release party at Oceandiva in Amsterdam.

The acclaimed In Search Of Sunrise series, which sold millions of copies worldwide, made a perfect restart with Richard Durand as the new helmsman. Durand gave Black Hole’s pearl, once initiated by Tiësto, new energy.

In his own way, with full dedication and in a style that was embraced by the complete trance scene, he managed to take the series to a higher level. “In Search Of Sunrise 9, India” is the undeniable proof of it. Besides all that, Richard honours one tradition: volume 9 is once again connected to a location that entices the imagination and this time it is India, with its rich and mystical culture, that formed the inspiration for the mixcompilation.

The tour that comes along with the series every year has become a major breakthrough for Richard all over the world, if that wasn’t the case already with his own strong productions over the past years, and will once again reach out to the four corners of the world and beyond.

World tour
The official release party of “In Search Of Sunrise 9, India” is also the kick-off of Richard Durand’s world tour and will take place on May 14th under the moniker of Grotesque at Oceandiva, Amsterdam. After the enormous success of last year, when Richard took Oceandiva and its guests straight to heaven in a steaming three-hour set, he is determined to turn the event into an even bigger party.

The support acts will perform as the ‘Ensemble Grotesque’ and for this ISOS 9 edition, various Dutch top names will perform next to conductor Durand. Alex O’Rion, Jochen Miller, Artento Divini and RAM have been asked to follow the ISOS codes in order to maintain the quality of the event. Alex O’Rion is an artist on Durand’s record label and has already done several other support acts for Richard. RAM and Divini are the resident DJs. It’s going to be another great Grotesque party and with the vocal support of MC Gunner the ensemble is complete.

Tickets went on sale in February. Considering the speed in which they sell, the kick-off of Richard Durand’s “In Search of Sunrise 9, India” world tour will start with a sold out Grotesque party. Don’t miss it!
