The Glade festival is back bigger than ever this year after a 2010 hiatus due to a few issues and hot off the press this week is a few new stages added to an already impressively bulging line up...
Good news festival lovers, Glade is back on the calender for this year. No it's not some sort of air freshener’s convention for the perfect scent to go in your front room but three days of electronic beats from around the world. With space for just 5000 budding festival addicts this year you had better get your tickets booked early to save missing out. Alongside the five main stages; Glade, Overkill, Origin, InSpiral and our latest addition Beta, we’re pleased to announce a whole host of new, smaller venues we’ve named the ‘Nanosystems’, these will be scattered across the site adding an extra dimension to this years festival. Featuring a mix of music and off-the-wall entertainment and hosted by a selection of friends and family prepare to enter the Nanosystems. Here’s a venue by venue taster of what to expect:
BASSMENT
A tent for the bass-driven tunes, expect Drum-n-Bass, Dubstep, Basslines, Breaks and all the rest sizzling in the Bassment. Hosted by South West’s Finest Promoters: Beats & Bobs, Rinseout and more.

THE FUSE

Cowboys & girls can show off their lasso skills, brave the bucking bronco and defend their good names with pistols at dawn…
LZRDM:
Pronounced `Laser Dome` this venue contains 40 individually controlled 3-colour laser modules. Their position and colour is individually computer-controlled – creating an intense and entrancing effect on you all once the phase transition is underway! The `laser dance` is also known to cause endogenous hyper-emotional ebullition from participants – a side effect that has not yet been fully researched! Ooooooooooh…
THE TIME MACHINE:
Play video games, trigger drum machines with your feet and manipulate projected visuals as you dance to DJs. Flying forwards and backwards through time has never been more fun…

Glade Festival have teamed up with Mixcloud to offer aspiring DJs the opportunity to win a set at this years Glade Festival, one aspiring DJ will pen the Beta tent, win two artists passes giving you access to artist camping and backstage bar and travel expenses. Ten entrants will be shortlisted to become finalists - these mixes will then be posted on Glades Facebook page, their community will choose the competition winner.

GLADE FESTIVAL RETURNS!
The UK’s most forward-thinking electronic music event Glade Festival returns for 2011, revolutionised and stripped back to it’s shiny roots. Taking place at a brand new, as yet undisclosed, venue this year’s festival will feature a selection of the biggest names in cutting-edge electronic music. This years event sees the festival scaled down in terms numbers (strictly limited to 5000 capacity) BUT will feature the same attention to detail which saw the event voted Best Dance Festival 2008 at the UK Festival Awards.
