The new artist album from electronic legend Moby is not far away from touching down. After dropping a free three track EP last month the first single to come proper from the album 'The Day' has just had the official video released, which you can check out here...
You never know what to expect with a new Moby album. If you look at his past two they could not have been any different with quite a contrast between the upbeat dance orientated club tracks and the emotional depressed ballads. Even if Moby’s last album was a deeply downbeat moody one it was very good all the same. His musical mind is one you would love to get into. His new album ‘Destroyed’ is only a few weeks away from release and he’s already given away three singles from it just to give you a taste of what’s in store.
You can get more with the latest single proper ‘The Day’ featuring Heather Graham; you might remember her from Austin Power’s ‘The Spy Who Shagged Me’ film almost a decade ago. In the official video for the new single she’s turned into a gorgeous angle slaying evil demons. The single itself is one Moby created during a restless evening in the backdrop of what I can only imagine was a very tidy hotel room.
"The Day was written in a hotel room in Spain at dawn when I hadnt slept. It was a beautiful hotel room, a beautiful perfect hotel room and it was six or seven in the morning. I wrote it on a acoustic guitar and recorded it on my phone, brought it home and re-recorded it with old broken down electronics that I have in my studio."Moby
