Producers duo Funkerman (Ardie van Beek) and Raf Jansen have signed an exclusive publishing deal with Sony/ATV.
This exciting move sends out a clear message regarding Sony/ATV’s position in the dance market. Choosing a talented and influential pair of producers of this calibre signals a clear desire to solidify their position in the scene. It also expands their capabilities for delivering high quality productions specifically within the house genre.
Both van Beek and Jansen are known for their ability to blend different musical styles whilst retaining a distinctive overall character within their work. Always staying true to their own sound, they are both prolific producers who have demonstrated a clear understanding of the formula for success. Previous hits include Funkerman’s Speed Up, Remember and 3 Minutes To Explain as well as Wheels In Motion, a collaboration with Fedde Le Grand. With one of their labels, Flamingo Recordings, they’ve achieved wide international success with the hits Put Your Hands Up For Detroit and Let Me Think About It. Remixes for Ida Corr, Guru Josh, The Sugababes, Moby and more also feature in their back catalogue.
Their new imprint, ‘Can You Feel It’, will run in conjunction with Flamingo Recordings. Enabled by this new deal, Van Beek and Jansen intend to release a high volume of new material over the coming months.
Ardie and Raf: ‘We are incredibly happy to be part of the Sony/ATV roster and we are looking forward to many shared successes.’ With the combined momentum of the Can You Feel It launch and the Sony/ATV signing the atmosphere surrounding the duo couldn’t be better.
Building on previous success and experiences the future looks incredibly rosy for Funkerman and Raf Jansen.
