It’s been 5 years since Mr. Hazendonk last released a compilation, but that’s all about to change now, as he is now ready to present us for a double disc compilation, presenting disc 1:Body and disc 2: Mind.

A pet project for Hazendonk the album showcases his ability to mix a bundle of new and classic tunes. He’s an artist who claims to be influenced by ‘funk, bass lines and melodies’, and it’s clearly in evidence here as he deftly curates an impressive collection of tracks!

Let’s see what Paul offers for our body and mind on these 2 discs.

Cd 1: Body
On disc 1 things open with the delicious and very cool intro track ‘It Keeps You Occupied While You're On The Flight’ from Doubtingthomas, setting the mood and things off in the perfect and right direction. From there it just captures you and on cd 1 you get to hear a nice and smooth selection of some massive and funky club grooves, counting among others ‘Redeye’ from Andreas Bergmann, Manual Music’s own artists Examine with ‘Be Square’ and Matador with ‘Blond Slackers’ and a cheeky showcase to top it, in form of the new single from Furrr & Hazendonk ‘Het Spierenburg Effect’. There are so many great, beautiful and funky tracks here on cd 1, and it’s absolutely perfect to get you in the mood for a night on the tiles. Paul mix it so smooth and perfect that you just sit back and enjoy from the first listen and all the way through the mix where Paul takes you on a stunning sound travel through his marvelous track selection!

Cd 2: Mind
On cd 2 we get a more ‘introspective’ vibe, opening things with again a fantastic intro track, here ‘The White Rose’ from Dual Shaman. A delightfully and atmospheric electronica track. The delightful and atmospheric tones continues on ‘Mittelmeer’ from Lanny May, before things turns into some more progressive and darker moods on ‘Manu' from Aebeloe followed by PHM and ‘Collapse’ twisting and delivering some great driving progressive sounds.

Other gems and delicious tracks on cd 2 includes ‘Long Island’ from CardioWave, ‘Moment’ from Roger Martinez while things goes into the more rave spirited moments towards the end on ‘De Minimal Die Nu Hip Is’ from Egbert, massive tune! Making you move around on the floor is also guarantied with ‘The 2nd Argument’ from Rolando Vallice, while things are topped and perfectly sealed towards the end on cd 2 with tracks from Noraj Cue who gives us ‘Mental Violence’ before Alessandro Diga & Nappa closes it with the beautiful ‘April’s Sun’.
