High Contrast presents Ibiza 2011 Mixed by Jochen Miller and JOOP

This Balearic season will be coming with a new, freshly squeezed High Contrast flavour, courtesy of their Ibiza 2011 compilation.

Mixed by deck maestros Jochen Miller and JOOP, tracks and remixes from Gareth Emery, Jerome Isma-Ae, Markus Schulz, Wippenberg, Rank 1, Arty, Arnej, Marcel Woods and many, many more are all cleared to land!

First to the High Contrast mix controls is Jochen Miller. One of the last 12 months' biggest scene breakthroughs, his flash-fire, no-rules/no-barriers EDM blend has won him a wealth of new fans. He exhibits exactly that ethic with a 19 track-packed powder-keg mix.

Kicking off with some tough, sinuous tech-housin’ business, he works together tracks like Warner Powers & Michael Paterson’s ‘Red Room’ and Lay & Browne’s ‘Az-Tek’. Twisting the thermostat higher, he sends the mix’s mercury shooting with some vocal electro-house action from Jordy Lishious’ (with ‘Raw 2011’) and Hardwell’s house-trip rework of Gareth Emery & Jerome Isma-Ae’s ‘Stars’. From there the anthems come thick & quick to the laser. Wippenberg’s tub-thumping Hammond hammerer ‘Phoenix’ rolls out, as does Cliff Coenraad’s furious floor-filler ‘Oh!Mega’ and the Shy Brothers sublimely vocalled ‘Blind Love’. Jochen packs in plenty of his own cross-the-range club ordinance too. ‘Brace Yourself’ and ‘U & Eye’ spar with current singles ‘Troucid’ and his Markus Schulz collab ‘Rotunda’ to bring the disc to a big apex.

Over on disc 2, things take a turn back to the tech, as JOOP’s 80-minute Ibiza flight prepares for takeoff. It taxis down the runway with Arty’s mix of Gareth Emery’s ‘El Segundo’ and heads skywards with Arnej and Sally Saffi’s floor-teaser ‘Free of You’. ‘Drive Out’ from MDX (aka M.I.K.E.) and Marcel Woods’, ‘BPM’ bring it up to cruising altitude, where it’s joined by JOOP and Leon Bolier latest team-up ‘Absolut’. Similarly fast to the mix are the young Dutchman’s own most recent solo releases ‘Stronger’ and ‘Closer to Zero’. Working inexorably towards the disc’s conclusion, he rolls out the heaviest floor activators yet, including Daniel Wanrooy & René Havelaar’s ‘Emerald’ and Rank 1 vs. Jochen Miller’s ‘The Great Escape’.
