 Super & Tab are not quite done with their last artist album 'The Empire' just yet having announced this week they are to release a remixed edition with the likes of Gareth Emery, 4 Strings and Lange putting their spin on things...
It seems like the remixed artist album is not just here to stay but an essential after thought for the electronic artist these days. We don't mind in the slightest when it comes to Super8 & Tab's new remix album announced this week as their original artist LP was the second biggest selling album behind Above & Beyond's for Anjunabeats over the past year, possibly. New life will be pumped into all eleven of the original album tracks by some very handy trance artists.
Empire Remixed Announced
The biggest selling artist on Anjunabeats behind Above & Beyond, Super8 & Tab completed their transition from innovative trance architects to accomplished album artists with last year's "Empire" LP. An album that Mixmag described as leaving them "blown away on first listen", "Empire" featured the hit singles "Mercy", "Empire" and "My Enemy", as well as the classic "Black Is The New Yellow".
Released on 22nd August, "Empire: Remixed" will now bring Super8 a& Tab's critically acclaimed debut album into fresh focus with 11 cutting-edge remixes from artists like Gareth Emery, Lange, 4 Strings, Kyau & Albert, Protoculture, Mat Zo, Rank 1 and Jaytech. The album also includes Maor Levi's big room rework of "Slow To Learn", which featured on Above & Beyond's Essential Mix for BBC Radio 1 which you can preview here
Betsie Larkin Releases Brand New Single "All We Have Is Now" With Super8 & Tab
"All We Have Is Now", the album title, is also the name of her first single and was produced by Super8 &Tab. In this track Betsie shows her ability to write insightful and captivating lyrics: "It's a simple concept, but hard to live by. I wanted to really dive into the meaning of the title in writing the lyrics. I was so happy to have Super8 & Tab at the helm - they are experts at creating the depth and intensity that I felt this tune needed."
