The next journey through Rogar Shah’s musical mind has arrived with the surface of his new artist album ‘Openminded’. The title may suggest Roger has moved into a whole new style but after an initial hearing the style is not a radical change away from the Roger Shah style we all know and love. He has experimented with a new breed of vocals to go with the production this time around with uplifting results. He has two admirers in the music press already as his update this month goes on to highlight.

Openminded!?' - The New Artist Album Out Now!

'Openminded!?' - the spellbinding new long-player from Roger Shah - is out now on full CD and Download release. Containing 15 incredible new productions, its expanded audio range has opened a new chapter in Roger's career. In giving 'Openminded!?' a coveted Album of the Month award, Mixmag enthused "Openminded!? lives and breathes vocals!!", while national German radio station Sunshine Live made it their Album of the Week last week.

It contains the smash-in-the-making 'Hide U', sung by original vocalist Sian Kosheen, which has been hailed by DJ Mag as a "dark, steel-tough, deep 'n' driving trip" and hands the classic "a new skin and a new lease of life". Also on board is the club-smash single, 'Morning Star' (sung by Clannad vocalist Moya Brennan), which Mixmag says "perfectly grafts the Celtic twang of the uilleann pipes to Shah's regulation gauzy Med-head synths".

DJ Mag 2011 – The Poll Opens

Last Wednesday morning, DJ Mag fired the starting gun in their 2011 search for the 100 hottest DJs on the planet. Roger has made it into the top 50 for the last two years running and it goes without saying that he'd love to make it three! If you've felt the floor move during one of his sets, or been carried away by a Roger Shah, Sunlounger or a Magic Island album over the last 12 months, he'd love to be supported when you cast your vote. Roger's Gatecrasher @ Privilege, Ibiza Residency

Roger has finalized preparations for his new Ibizan residency @ Gatecrasher. It all kicks off this coming Wednesday night when he'll be taking control of the decks at Privilege - the biggest club in the world. Over the course of five Balearic nights, he'll be bringing all the new 'Openminded!?' material to the ears of the Isla Blanca's most switched-on clubbers.
On taking up the residency Roger said: "I'm really looking forward to this years Ibiza prime season, which will be for me like coming home to my magic island. I dedicated so many things to it and now thanks to the world's leading dance brand Gatecrasher, one of my biggest dreams will become reality. I can't wait to rock Privilege with my live performances!
