© King Kong Records/Zouk RecordingsSharam Jey has never exactly been the shy, retiring type. Not afraid to make a statement, his in-your-face tunes and remixes and the brash, angular aesthetic of his accompanying artwork and website make him tricky to ignore.

His critically acclaimed second album, In My Blood, is packed full of the kinds of tracks that, like an excited puppy, demand your attention. New single The More That I Do is no exception. It is a sugar rush of a tune - dizzying, exciting, and gloriously hyperactive.

Nik Valentino, lead singer of Australian indie darlings Lost Valentinos, serves up an insistently catchy vocal performance. Crossover track much? We think so. It would be just at home in an indie disco as in the clubs and it's unmistakeably radio friendly. The track has an eighties vibe with the synths and the vocals, but overall the flourishes give it the clubby feel that is going to make it a record bag favourite this summer.

Lead single and album title track In My Blood was one of last year's big underground dance smashes and also featured Valentino's vocals. It looks like 2011 is going to be an equally successful year for the partnership.

The remix package is a joy too. With four other tracks to choose from alongside the original production there is something for every taste. Sweden's Tony Senghore delivers an electro club remix of the highest calibre, although with his pedigree from Boysnoize and Ed Banger Records you wouldn't expect anything less. Shameboy delivers pace and techno flavour with panache and Rico Tubbs pulls out all the stops to turn the track into a quality dubstep production. Cryptonite are impressive too, delivering a stomper of a track that has addictive crowd appeal. On the remix duties we also find Marco V delivering a smashing remix in his own cool V-Sound.

The More That I Do is nothing short of a total treat, and not the kind to be savoured slowly. Instead, it is one to be devoured as messily as possible. Enjoy the taste.

Sharam Jey feat. Nik Valentino - The More That I Do is out from today on King Kong Records and Zouk Recordings and available on www.beatport.com and all other online music retailers.
