Paul van Dyk continues to tour the world as the release of his next artist album 'Evolution' draws ever closer take a peak where you can catch him over the next month for a live sneak peak...
Paul van Dyk is without question of the biggest electronic dance music artists in the world today with a rich and legendary history stretching back to the early 90's. What he did, and continues to do for Trance music is outstanding even though the sound of Paul van Dyk today takes on many different styles within the electronic genre. His new artist album should be a bit of an interesting one to see where his creative style is at today in terms of production. His club music is as banging as ever but it’s been a while since his last artist album ‘In-between’ that surfaced in 2007. That will all change in the next few months as he will be unleashing his brand new artist album ‘Evolution’ to the world.
It’s usually the case an artist goes on tour after an album release but Paul’s been bucking that trend by touring all this year under the ‘Evolution’ banner. How much of his new material he has been dropping during these tours remains to be seen as I’ve not managed to get to one. He’s been busy on the remix front by dropping one for Moby, Rea Gravey and one for the band ‘Hurts’. There is no sign of a new single from Paul just yet but after a few months on the ‘Evolution’ tour we should surly see one before Christmas? Only the man himself and his team at VANDIT will have the answer to that one. In the meantime he’s been announcing more ‘Evolution’ tour dates including fives dates in Australia next March. Will we see the album before then or will he keep us waiting a little longer?
