Jon O'Bir continues to evolve his own production styles with a brand new artist album following on from his debut in 2008 'From Within'. It's an album brought together by talent, passion and porn star martini's...
Having won a DJ competition while slaving away at a very well known UK supermarket in the drizzle city of Nottingham a few years ago Jon O’Bir could not be happier with where he’s at right now. Establishing himself as one of the pace setters on the trance circuit and packing in a global tour schedule being applauded by the likes of Paul van Dyk and Armin van Buuren things have been on the up in recent years for Jon. He finally got stuck into production in 2007 and came with a debut album in 2008 called ‘From Within’. He knows a good record and now he can make one to!
The second helping of his production flair is on its way with a sequel to the debut which goes by the name of ‘Music Database’. It’s named after his last single release and has a mixture of uplifting and vocal trance gems to get stuck into. Notably an interesting collaboration with Ben Gold for a track they named after a drink the pair sunk on a night toasting the new track. If you’ve ever had a ‘Porn Star Martini’ before then it won’t be a surprise to you Jon took to it, as he describes it as ‘Liquid Cheesecake’. We don’t advise putting yours in the blender with a spot of vodka before you get any ideas. In all there are eleven tracks on offer with three vocal offerings from Julie Harrington and two from Fisher.
Armin van Buuren premiered two of his tracks on the last ‘A State of Trance’ with a quick sound bite from Jon on his thoughts on the new album. From the sneak preview I heard it looks like he’s created a very inviting collection which is out in a week or two with a sneaky extra track on the CD release called ‘Skyline’.
