© Sean TyasSean Tyas lifts the lid of the winners for his 'Lift' remix competition this month and debuts his first ever vocal single, which is a little bit special...

For an artist who has been around for the time Sean Tyas has on the electronic scene it’s a bit hard to 'believe' he's not had a vocal single yet. Well, believing is seeing, or hearing in this case as his latest release breaks the vocal duck. What’s the name of this track? ‘Believe’ is its name and it features the vocals of David Berkeley, who is by trade a folk single from California. He’s done winders on the vocals for Sean’s harmonic debut as the new single is a real beauty and beefed up by a Richard Durand remix. Along with that he’s announced the winners for his ‘Lift’ remix competition, an update on his latest tour outings and a brand new Tytanium radio show to enjoy.

Tyas' first vocal single, "Believe"

Breaking his trademark mould of melodic instrumental trance with a driving twist the prodigious talents of Sean Tyas have surprisingly kept him away from the spine tingling emotions of vocals within his release - perhaps it's been his critical ear for finding that correct blend of lyrical texture that matches up with his marquee sound, which has long kept him from fully exploring the rich qualities of singers and writers within his music? This is until now, as Sean has finally delved head first into the cornerstone of trance embracing a partnership with David Berkeley, a folk singer out of California, for what anyone who has already heard is calling his" opus magnum".

Supporting the release is Dutch trance sovereign Richard Durand, who steps up in full effect to turn the whole concept on its side to unleash an entirely new feel and flavour.

Already caned by the likes of Armin, O'Callaghan, Aly & Fila, and more, check out what is sure to be the Autumn Anthem!

Lift Remix Contest: "And the winner is..."

"Huge huge huge thanks to everyone who contributed one the over 300 Lift Remix Contest entries. So many of you put so much time and love into your work, it is truly noticeable and I expect to see a lot of your names many times in the coming years on releases."

The voting for the competition ecompassed the selected best 10 (decided by Sean & Discover) entries, and took place as a public vote-off as a Facebook App

Matt Skyer wins first prize with his remix. Going into a full on trance but detouring over to a pseudo-dubstep breakdown and back into the lift melody, combined with his razor-sharp production techniques, Matt brings Lift into 2011 with flying colors. Matt wins a KRK ERGO Room Optomization Unit, allowing him to make the best out of any acoustic space one's studio is situated, which Sean has been using for over a year now and trusts implicitly. Matt will also be collaborating with Sean on an upcoming single in 2012.

Darren Porter is next up with 2nd place, with ONLY .7% less votes than the Skyer remix. Showing terrific creativity, he injected obtuse vocals into the arrangement, which blended into it brilliantly, and the synths used the replace Lift's original synth rain down fire afer the break. Darren will receive a pair of KRK KNS-8400 Studio Headphones, one of the truest headphone monitors around, like carrying a pair of VXT8's on your head.

ON TOUR: Debut in Malta, Back to St. Petersberg!

On the back of some great October shows including Godskitchen in Birmingham, Letrik in Dublin and Monday Bar in Stockholm, November has got off to a good start already with the Art Of Trance in Italy, and later this month I'm really looking forward to headlining the massive Live Energy 3 in Kiev, making my Malta debut at Stardust Club and returning to India for my Tytanium Sessions branded three city tour at the end of the month. From the
heat of India I return to St Petersburg in Russia for the Gatecrasher arena show before jetting off to North America once again for shows in LA and Denver in early December.
