© Quantistic DivisionDionigi and Simon Faz have teamed up on a new release that showcases their diverse musical lineage to devastating effect...

Flashing Vision is a track that allows the producers to play to their individual strengths across five remixes. It takes the listener right around the houses of dance music, popping down numerous cul-de-sacs along the way.

Kicking off is the Dionigi Acid Mix. The weirdness of the vocals fits perfectly with the trippy construct of the track. So too does the fetish-infused lyrical content with its murmurings of paranoia and S&M. 'I'm so dirty now...why don't you slap me?'

Dionigi follows this filthy treat with two more lovably weird (or weirdly lovable) tunes. His Electro Mix peers into the void, retaining the acidy feel of the first track but layering in some chunky chords to give the tune more of a club vibe.

His Mental Mix is aptly named. It starts harmlessly enough but quickly builds in intensity, becoming increasingly discordant. It's a challenging listen, but one which pays dividends for those who like to explore electronic music's dark underbelly.

Luckily Simon Faz is on hand to balance out Dionigi's delightfully dark adventures with some much-needed light. His two tracks, a House Mix and the House Dub, are decidedly less frightening and have more of a party vibe. There's undeniably a bit of a yin/yang thing going on here.

Faz's House Mix is characterised by pleasant tribal percussive tones and a hint of a funky guitar sample. The vocals are disempowered through aggressive stretching and snipping, and the result is a tune that feels super friendly in the context of the entire remix package.

His second contribution, the Dub Mix, is another warm mix with a deliciously playful, funky vibe. More percussion and the total disappearance of any kind of structured vocal puts this track at the most accessible end of the spectrum of the pieces on the pack.

This is the latest in a series of collaborations by the pair. In April 2011 they partnered on a great cover version of Grace Jones' unforgettable Pull Up To The Bumper, enlisting the vocal talents of Dany L for the project. The record was a resounding success, achieving club play across Europe and breaking into the UK's Upfront Club Top 40.

Dionigi & Simon Faz - Flashing Vision is out from today on Quantistic Division and exclusively available on www.junodownload.com. The track is available on all other online music retailers from November 22nd.
