The next city set for Markus Schulz compilation series has been revealed with Los Angeles announced as the next destination of his annual tour…
Markus Schulz has let the cat out of the bag for the location of his next city compilation series. Having already toured two American locations on his travels already he heads back there once again for next year’s compilation. Los Angeles is the setting for the 2012 Markus Schulz city compilation tour and it’s a place Markus has been inspired with throughout this year for its clubbing and music following. He let rip with the official announcement through a YouTube video where Markus goes through the past city’s and tracks he’s toured and featured on his compilations.
Maybe a bit overkill for the announcement of a compilation do you think? Possibly as he’s not unveiled the track list for the new compilation yet but he’s putting Los Angeles and the memories he’s had playing there during the year as inspiration for the music he will put together. Expect a little bit of progression and maybe some uplifting parts spread over the two mixes. Why los Angeles?
“electronic dance music has blown up huge in the United States this past year. One of the main reasons driving that is the scene in Los Angeles, where a new generation of clubbers are uniting with long-term fans and creating one of the most passionate scenes anywhere on the globe. I’ve played there many times in my career, at the Monster Massive festivals, the Electric Daisy Carnivals and for the last 3 years New Years Eves at Together As One, and they’ve all been so memorable in their own way.”

I’ll be quite honest, he could have chosen Barnet featuring a chip and fish shop on the cover and I’d still be hovering over the pre-order button for this one as Markus’ mixes over the years have been fantastic. I think we can expect more of the same from his Los Angeles edition. You can watch his official announcement right below including details of two dates in Los Angeles to launch the new compilation.
