© Vonyc Sessions 2011 Paul van Dyk is back for the third instalment of his VONYC Sessions compilation putting together the finest electronic dance music played over the course of the last eleven months on his weekly radio show...

You can tell its getting towards the end of the year when the announcement comes that Paul van Dyk is a release a new VONYC Sessions compilation. This will be the third in a series born in 2009 looking back on a year of very fine electronic dance music played on Paul van Dyk’s weekly radio show. You don’t need me to tell you what Paul has done for the scene over the past twenty years with his epic sets, albums and passion for everything electronic. He’s been touring all this year as he prepares to unveil his new artist album next year, there were indications that ‘Evolution’ might arrive this year but he may well be to busy on the album tour to actually produce the album? It’s a head scratcher but whenever the new one will come I’m sure it will be a good one.

While we wait for Paul’s new artist contribution his DJ exploits are well and truly on show with the 2011 edition of the VONYC Sessions. There are a few Paul production highlights with a few remixes he’s done and Arty’s stunning remix of his own track ‘We Come Together’. Amongst the mix are tracks from Cramp, Austin Leeds, Tritonal, First State, Ralphie B, Giuseppe Ottaviani, Paul Thomas, Moby, Marco V and Reverse. Spread over two discs and available in either CD or digital editions the 2011 edition of Paul’s electronic annual looks well worth a purchase.
