© Paul OakenfoldThe mighty Paul Oakenfold has a new tour and compilation concept kicking off this year as he releases a new mix to fit in with the four seasons. He'll be on the road hosting specials compilation parties and he kicks it all off with Winter...

If you were paying attention when we interviews Paul Oakenfold just before Christmas you will already know about his forthcoming four seasons tour. Having earned legend status in the electronic dance music world and been around on the scene for the best part of two decades you could forgive him for taking it a little easy. Not so for ‘Oakie’ as he prepares for a very hectic 2012 tour schedule which will take him around the globe once again and through all four seasons. That’s where the idea for his new four part compilation series has come from with the music being the very best on his Fluro imprint and the best beats he spins during his live shows.

You can expect some very juicy visual effects and a serious does of pounding underground trance music Paul has built his reputation on over the years. His renewed passion for quality trance is most definitely a good thing. The first season is already underway and the tour begins this week in at ‘The Gallery’ for the Ministry of Sound. The compilation to compliment the chilly season ‘Winter’ will be dropping at the end of next month. The full PR release is below and release dates for the next three. It’s a similar connect to what Lange did, but more concentrated. Paul’s compilations over the past year have been world class and your going to get at least four this year, not to mention his new artist album ‘Pop Killer’. It’s a win All round!

British DJ and producer Paul Oakenfold has announced a brand new tour and album concept. Each quarter of the year will bring a new seasonal compilation from ‘The Four Seasons’ series. Starting with ‘Winter’, which will be released on February 17th.

Accompanied with a live show that will travel the length and breadth of the world (excluding N. & S. America) the three time Grammy nominated electronic music pioneer is ready and poised to kick off 2012 with a cutting edge tour, visual and album concept.

All shows of his ‘Four Seasons’ tour will feature an innovative visual show, created by Rebel Overlay. Combined with the sounds showcased on Paul’s Perfecto Fluoro label and Full on Fluoro radio show, the live dates promise to deliver a unique clubbing experience.

Along with the ‘Winter’ live shows running in January, February and March, the ‘Winter’ mix compilation will feature a selection of the hottest Perfecto Fluoro productions, as well as highlight material from Paul’s performances on the tour.

On February 8th, Paul Oakenfold will be available for interviews during the special ‘Paul Oakenfold presents The Four Seasons’ press day at Armada Music’s office in Amsterdam. COMPILATION RELEASE DATES
