Markus Schulz has four new tunes coming from his Schulz Music Group stable of artists with Mr Pit, Grube & Hovsepian, Khomha and a debut from Adina Butar...
Markus Schulz took the next step forward a few months ago by creating the Schulz Music Group. It his is very own artist booking agency and so far has three signed artists, oh whom you can check out their latest music below. We particularly like Mr Pit’s new banger ‘It is what it is’ & ‘River of Hearts’.
KhoMha - The Other ‘Dark Knight’ Rises Ready to pour fire onto floors, the new track from Columbia’s finest EDM export is ready to make the big rooms burn. KhoMha’s ‘Think About Me’ had its Global DJ Broadcast debut last week, duly lighting up the forums and paving the way for a June 18th release. Part of KhoMha’s ‘Dark Knight EP’, the release’s track line-up is completed by its titular number (big moody, stormy and siren-filled/fuelled) and ‘Days Gone By’ (tech, with a imaginative hint of melodica, concluding with a rapturous finale!).
Set your calendar markers now and pick it up day-of-release from all good download retailers and in the meantime check out Schulz breaking the news on ‘Think About Me’ here.
MR. PIT - ‘It Is What It Is’ / ’River of Hearts’ Hot off the back of his club-stomping ‘Mosni’, Coldharbour quartermaster Mr. Pit is back on the front lines, supplying the tools that make the floor rock. With its thermal synths, thermite bass and equally concussive beats, 'It Is What It Is'. has already nabbed the prestigious Global Selection gong on GDJB.
That track’s backed by the much-fan-requested ‘River of Hearts’. Used by Markus Schulz to close out his ‘Los Angeles 2012’ compilation, the Outro Mix delivers a fever pitch thrill ride, leaving a major floorprint in its wake. Arriving in download stores June 11th (complete with the Original Mix and a rework from Ben Gold) its essential summer kit for your speakers.
Grube & Hovsepian - ‘Venom’ Continues To Strike DJs have been quick to hail ‘Venom’ - SMG duo Grube & Hovesepian's latest release. With a raft of deckside support, the track has already graced the turntables of Markus Schulz, Gareth Emery, Bobina, Simon Patterson, Judge Jules and others.
The dance press have been just as fast to praise it. America's EDM Magazine voices that it "masses atmosphere from start to finish" and has "exceptional vocal delivery”. DJ Mag over in the UK says that "Venom’ could very well be Grube & Hovsepian’s coming-of-age track", giving it 8.5/10, whilst German EDM publication Fazemag calls it simply a “masterpiece”. Mixmag meanwhile says that "Venom’ is a never less than enthralling listen" and declares that "as the vocal debut from the pair, it’s an extremely assured one"
You can add it to your collection by clicking here for Beatport or here for iTunes
Adina Butar - Debut Single With Markus Schulz The First Lady of SMG makes her impressive EDM entrance this month, lending her vixen-like vocals and infectious, hooky lyrics to the new single from honcho Markus Schulz. In its Radio Edit version, ‘Caught’ has already been playlisted by stations including BPM in the States, Poland’s Planeta FM, Sonic.FM in Argentina and numerous others.
You can pick it that up through iTunes now, with the full release (including the incendiary Club Mix) following at the end of June. For a listen to that (which Schulz premiered at EDC NYC to a rapturous response), check YouTube here.
