After having delivered remixes for Lock n Load’s early zeros classic Blow Ya Mind (Selekted Music), Asino Di Medico – In My Mind (Be Yourself Music) and Johan Gielen’s I’m Lonely (Black Hole Recordings) amongst others, the patron of Dutch dance radio returns to Selekted Music with a steamy disco corker.
Dutch radio host and captain of the widely popular dance radio show Clubbin, Eric van Kleef collaborates with vocalist Stanford (Lucien Foort's cousin) on this wicked cover of 70’s evergreen Do You Wanna Funk by Sylvester. It’s safe to say that next to hosting Clubbin on Dutch broadcaster SlamFM, Eric van Kleef knows his way around studio equipment as well. Remixes are presented by Orson Welsh giving the tune an uplifting peak time disco vibe, and Melvin Reese who adds a stomping club groove. While Wanna Funk conquered the global floors, a video has been produced using the Melvin Reese remix as the official radio edit which you might want to check on Youtube here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VwvdDRqRj08 :: Soundcloud previews :: Available through Beatport
