From pumping vocal house and epic trance synths to deep, angular rhythms, this mix testifies the Swedish stamp is everywhere, featuring the premiere league Swede’s themselves, the protégées of a nation bitten by the Swedish House bug, plus unreleased and digitally re-mastered material.

Released on Monday 16th July on London based imprint Cubrik, in both mixed and DJ friendly unmixed formats, the Swedish House Mafia has helped usher in almost everyone who appears on this seventy-minute mix.

Opening with a brand new Eric Prydz remix of ‘Midnight City’ by M83 (a song which has proved to be to 2012 what MGMT’s ‘Kids’ was to 2008), it’s been remixed and rebooted for way bigger rooms than French musician Anthony Gonzalez could have ever expected by Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso’s oldest production buddy Eric ‘Pryda’ Prydz. From there, the mix dives into Above and Beyond protégée Arty territory, who also appears later on in the mix thanks to a timely new refix of ‘Punk’ by Ferry Corsten.

Elsewhere, the music is a showcase of the new generation of electronic Swedes, from Alex Kenji and the fast-rising Swede-channelling Thomas Gold (actually from Munich) to Deniz Koyu, Daddy’s Groove and Dragan Roganovic AKA Dirty South. It also features a cover of Depeche Mode’s 80s classic ‘Behind The Wheel’ by the mysterious house producer Dirty Funker.

The young protégées of Axwell - Thomas Gold; and Seb Ingrosso - Alessandro Lindblad AKA Alesso, also appear on the mix, alongside the biggest Swede to pounce since the Mafia - Tim Bergling, known professionally as Avicii. His arena mix of ‘Bromance’ has a staggering 10 million views on YouTube and counting.

The Sound Of Swedish House delivers this continent crossing genre in its most crystal clear form. All tracks on the album have been digitally re-mastered at the world renowned Sterling Sound studio in New York by Paul Morris, famed for mix engineering with Sasha, The Chemical Brothers and John Digweed.
