It's that time of year again, albeit a little earlier than years before, for the annual DJ Magazine Top 100 DJ Poll. The voting is now open to crown the best DJ in the world for 2012...
We've only just tipped past half way through the year but its time to put you thoughts to who you think deserves to be voted the world’s number one DJ. The DJ Mag top 100 is a poll that gets a lot of music press but also one which causing a lot of debate amongst electronic dance music fans. After David Guetta taking the number one spot last year, does this poll have any credibility left? Some may say so, others may not but from the boo’s he received when he stepped onto the decks to play his first set I don’t think it was a popular choice. The question remains, just who voted for him? I don’t think many would own up to it but the question is will he retain his number one spot this year?
You can direct your vote by visiting the DJ Mag web site and putting down your favourite five DJ’s from the past eleven or so months. The polls are open for a whopping two months, no doubt to offer every artist the opportunity to bombard you with newsletters begging for your vote. It seems a little bit drawn out if you ask me but for those with bad memories it does offer you the chance to get your vote in this year.
