 The fourth edition in Discover's Trance Pioneers series has landed with thirteen tracks that have defined Greg Downey so far and made him a household name on the trance scene...
Within the house of Recoverworld there lays a label called Discover. It was the label that John Askew was famous for his involvement before he moved to perfecto and one which Chris Hampshire now solely controls with Rob 'Activa' Stevenson. A new compilation series they brought to the table is 'Trance Pioneers' which gathers together the finest trance from some of the most influential artists on the scene. They have already had Sean Tyas, Sly One & Jurrane and Thomas Datt on the series so far. The fourth edition turns towards Greg Downey who has had releases on Discover and VANDIT over the years. His early sound was banging and fresh to the ear with those records that made his name featured in this collection.
It's not just his sole productions which made him his name but his collaborations with John O'Callaghan and remixes of John Askew's 'Nail Gun'. His music has that banging feel about it and while he still has many more releases to come settle back and enjoy the tunes that got him started.
