>At what age did you find your love for music?
>I've always been into music as far as i remember.. I've started playing guitar and bass at 14 in a new-wave-gothic band! and when
bought a drum-machine to replace our drummer, problems appeared.. I was spending more time programming the drum then
playing guitar! so finaly I sold it and bought a sampler.

>what made you get into music seriously and how has it changed you..?
>When I realize it was my only reason of living. At that time, in 1998, I was freelance in computer programming.. I took two
month of holidays to make some tracks and they ended being my first moogwai release on platipus "a night out". When Platipus
signed me, I quit my job.

>who gave you your first record deal?
>A real one.. Platipus. I've released a record in 95 (+udeo) but it was just for fun.

>What labels are you associated with now with your various alias' and partnerships?
>Yoshitoshi, Undercurrent and Imago for Chab stuff , Cyber for nukem and nukem_vs_chab projects and Platipus for moogwai stuff.
And here's the exclusive bit.. We'll work before summer on a new nukem single for Mr. Satoshi's Saw Recordings.(trisco says=<<<<

>@ the 2 best clubs around: Cult Club in Lausanne and Q club in Zurich.

>what djs you listened to then..and now?
>Fortunately we have some of the best djs here in switzerland : Gogo, Nukem, Steven S ..

>What is your favourite track now?
>Actually, my top four at the moment are all coming from switzerland :
Loader "Nothing is.." (four:twenty) - Loader are Peter lavelle and Steven S.
Gogo "Sayna" (Cyber) - So simple and so hot!
Nukem "Secrets" (Imago) - Do I need to say more about this ?
Chab "Dub session" (Yoshitoshi) - and it's not promo! -

>What is your favourite track ever?
>Danny Tenaglia "Turn me on" (bedrock mix) on Twisted.. I still remember when it came out, I thought "this is the future ..".
It'll be forever in my box.

>What is your best remix?
>My favourite remix work is probably sunscape and chris dee "generik" on kubist. You can hear it on chris fortier "Bedrock3" mix
cd but it'll be out very soon I think. Kubist is a new label run by ben shaw, so quality will be there. I've very proud of the
"Week-end players" mix too, it sounds very professional, no ?

>what have you got up and coming in the near future?
>I'm refusing all new remixes request to focus on my own stuff for a while. moogwai ? star ? chab ? new project ? I don't know yet..
I'm exploring.

>Whats happening on imago now and in the near future?
>Abe Duque remixed by Gogo-probably mix cds.

>who are the best guys you have worked with in the industry?
>The ones I respected the most since the beginning : Simon Berry (Art of Trance) for trance stuff and Deep Dish for darker stuff. It's a
real motivation working with them. But Nukem is the best -real- collaboration I had. He's a top dj and sure knows his shit in the studio!

>Your collaboarations with nukem have been the foundation for progressive in my opinion:how did you meet?
>we met djing on the same night @Lovezoo. I was really glad to hear
this music in switzerland! After that we got in contact-went in the studio and did "shaiva" in no time.

>where do you see progressive going?
>I know but I won't tell you..

>Where do you get the chances to dj? ( i know a guy from sublime..who said he met you-edinburgh-how was the gig up there?)
>I have the chance to dj in many places around the world and it's essential for me to be updated with upfront music and to feel the
crowd reaction.. Sublime party in Edinburgh is pure underground, exactly what I like and they have one of the best crowd out there !
will be back there for the third time in july and I look forward to it!

>what equipment do you use to produce your tracks?
>Mainly hardware and mainly samples, my favourite bit is the MPC. I always use 10 tracks only for the MPC! Nord 3 is great but Nord1
is still the one!

>is there a basic guide of how to produce a track?
>yes. but there's no guide on how to produce a good one !?

>do you get "inspirations" for tracks or do you just take it as it comes?
>At the very beginning, I was copying tracks, just to compare the sound and to learn how to mix a track, which sounds to use.. Now I'm
getting inspirations from everything I can hear: clubs, radio, cds.. every music is giving some ideas.


>The question that always has to be asked for famous people:any advice for the wannabe's?
>Sample everything you can, it's the only way to have your own sound library.

>who did you look to when you were starting out?
>like today, to the love of my life jenny!
