Remix Fatboy Slim's 'Love Island'

© Fatboy Slim Norman Cook wants you to have a bash at injecting fresh life into one of his past classics. 'Love Island' was one of the highlights from his 1999 artist album 'You've Come A Long Way baby' and now its at your disposal to remix...

Attention all budding producers out there with some musical flair going spare as Fatboy Slim has a very tasty remix competition for you. Otherwise known as Norman Cook, his DJ and production career are very well documented. His live DJ sets cover different styles of dance music from his very own smash hit singles to anything else Norman feels suits the Fatboy sound. His past hits are legendary and quite a few like ‘Priase You’ come from his ‘You’ve Come A Long Way Baby’ artist album released back in 1999.

The track in question for this competition was featured on that album. ‘Love Island’ is the track Norman wants you to put your production skills to the test and with £700’s worth of goodies up for grabs for the best remixes, why not? It’s free to download the parts and submit your remix all you have to do is register at the Juno site and you’re away.

COMPETITION RULES

To download the parts for free you will need to register your email address and postal address with Juno. No payment or credit card details are required.
Make sure you register a valid email address with Juno (very important: this is how we contact the winner).
Submit your remix to the competition dropbox here.
All entries must include "Fatboy Slim - Love Island (your name remix)" along with your registered contact email address.
All entries must be set to PRIVATE, any public entries will be automatically disqualified.
The submission phase of the remix competition starts September 24th 2012 and ends October 31 2012.
One winner will be selected, one second place and one third place.
The winner will receive: £150 Juno Voucher, a release of the remix on Skint Records (subject to release scheduling & label approval), 12 Month Soundcloud Pro Account, Mixed in Key and Platinum Notes, Serato Video, UDG Controller/DJ Bag & Skint Merchandise.
Second place will receive UDG CD wallet, A signed you've come a long way baby 10th anniversary disc, Skint t-shirt, Skint wallet, £50 of Juno Download Vouchers.
Third place will receive UDG Headphone bag, A signed you've come a long way baby 10th anniversary disc, Skint t-shirt, Skint wallet, £25 of Juno Download Vouchers.
Tracks using "un-cleared" samples from sources outside of these remix parts will be disqualified, this means any sounds that you do not have persmission to use. (It's ok to use your own original/recorded sounds, any synths/effects patches and presets, and any samples or material from licensed sample packs).
All trademarks and logos are protected. All rights of the producer and the owner of the recorded work are reserved. Unauthorized copying, hiring, renting, public performance and broadcasting of this record, remix or remix parts is prohibited.
Your submission of a remix in this contest automatically constitutes your agreement to these rules.
