Today, the newest name linking the worlds of fashion and electronic music, Subspecies, announces its collaboration with killer trance and tech producer Simon Patterson in the unveiling of a limited edition run of 100 t-shirts.
Emblazoned with the branding of Simon’s latest and most exciting project to date, Open Up, the t-shirt launch coincides with the launch of his new website and build-up to his highly anticipated artist album, due out later this year. Like Subspecies, Simon shares a commitment to the ever-changing world of electronic music, which is encapsulated through his Open Up project fusing technology, art and sound, in a futuristic, cutting-edge visual and audio live show.
This collaboration comes hot off the heels of Subspecies’ debut collection launch at Village Underground, Shoreditch, where a full range of products, heavily inspired by and dedicated to the world of electronic music were unveiled, following by an after party with Mixmag Live featuring Boys Noize.
Famed for having 11 consecutive Beatport number 1s with tracks such as Northern Lights and Latika, countless worldwide tours, international festival appearances and support from the trance elite, Simon Patterson is a name synonymous with quality, driving trance productions the world over. Buy his Open Up tee today and you’ll receive a free download of Zero Contact With The Humans, produced by the man himself.
Previous Subspecies collaborations have come in the forms of the DJ Magazine Best Of British Best Live Act nominee, Saytek, who created a line of t-shirts using the artwork for his new album; and international superclub, Sankey’s, to globally promote the brand, its events and heavyweight electronic line-ups.
Subspecies’ brand mission is to take a dual approach, combining elements of both fashion and music. In addition to main season ranges designed and sourced in-house, Subspecies will work in collaboration with electronic artists, designers and events to create exclusive product and further deepen its connection to the electronic music scene.
