Greg Downey Launches Global Code The Label

© greg Downey Electronic dance star Greg Downey is taking things to the next stage by launching his very own label. Going by the name 'Global Code' it will be home to Greg's own releases and the very best trance, tech and progressive...

Greg Downey stated off Global Code with a single going by the name a few years ago. He has since took the name and branded 46 radio shows around it to date as well as taking it on the road in his homeland Ireland and all over the world. Greg Downey has become one of the trance scene's biggest names but trance is only one part of his sound as he draws influences from other styles to create his own unique blend. His productions are nothing short of pounding and you know only quality is on the cards with a new Greg Downey release.

He’s taking the next step in his musical landscape by launching his very own label, ‘Global Code’, kicking off with his brand new single ‘Dolphin’ on the 6th May. The new single has that distinctive Greg Downey flavour and from the preview he’s released it’s one you should be tucking into the playlist.

International trance star Greg Downey is about to embark on an exciting new chapter in his career, the launch of his brand new label “GLOBAL CODE”. After countless successful releases on Vandit , Spinnin and Discover ,Greg is setting the bar high with this new venture , becoming the permanent home for his productions. Here is what Greg had to say:

“This is a very exciting time and music with many genres coming together and boundaries being pushed. GLOBAL CODE will be a stable to represent the full range of my sound, from Trance to Tech Trance, Techno and Progressive, it will encompass everything that I play across the Globe with one main focus, Quality. We plan each release to be special and to have some form of edge, in this day and age we are oversaturated with throw away records so when fans see a GLOBAL CODE release coming they can really look forward to it. “

Greg will be A&R for all future releases and he is looking forward to developing his R.I.C.O project, along with his Greg Downey singles, “Greg Downey pres R.I.C.O has been building quite a cult following, it’s a lot more progressive and darker than my normal tracks and it’s a free reign for me to experiment with different things, the next couple of singles have been rocking at recent gigs.”

The launch will see Greg’s latest single “Dolphin”, true to his trance roots this track has energy and that huge Downey feel to it. Pushing things forward into the future look out for GLOBAL CODE.
