It's been quite a while since Darren Tate last graced us with an artist album, almost five years, but the wait for the third horizon will soon be over next month as he unleashed his much anticipated new artist collection...
Darren Tate has long established himself as one of the scene biggest dance music producers after two decades of producing tunes. Cats you mind back to the late 90’s and early 2000’s when he was smashing out some superb trance and working with the likes on Jono Grant (Above & Beyond fame) and Mike Koglin. He has a number of very successful alter ego’s with the most notable being Jurgen Vires, Angelic and the DT8 Project. Under the Darren Tate moniker though he has produced some of his best works and has two artist albums full of productions top prove it.
The ‘Horizons’ is a series, but not any other series, it’s his very own artist brand and with each one comes an era of excitement as he does like to keep us waiting for them. The last release came back in 2009 and for the past two years there have been mutterings he was working on number three. Those mutterings have finally seen the light of day and he will be releasing the third edition next month. The music this time around takes on Darren’s fusion of soft, melodic beats with gorgeous progressive melodies and engrossing vocals. He sits in-between the house and trance crossover and creates some epic piano keys that put your hair on end.
All we have to go on is a snippet of a few tracks with his official album teaser which are sounding very good, but, do we expect anything less from Darren? He may be sparse with his releases but when he delivers, he drops the jackpot.
