© Blank & JonesThe 80's was a fantastic time for music, not just dance but also pop. Blank & Jones's have been back top the archives looking through the dusty classics for the decades defining anthems on the eight edition of 'so80s'...

Most of you will know Blank & Jones for the trance they gave the scene during the late 90’s and early part of the last decade. They do pop up these days with the odd trance record but you will find the guys mostly looking into the house sound. While their electronic taste may have changed over the year’s one thing has not, their love for 80’s music. The pair were very much influence by the sounds from that decade and first unleash the debut compilation ‘so80os’ as a collection of their favourite 80’s tunes.

There are far to many records for just one release and since the debut they have put together seven compilations and a few very specially re-mastered solo artist collections. They are all very essential collectors’ items for those into the old synthesised pop sound of yesterday. Just when you think they have dusted their hands of the 80’s after they continued the brand by going into the 90’s they have come back for more.

The eight edition looks to unearth more treasures from the decade that brought us artists like Bronski Beat, Wet Wet Wet, The Cure, Bryan Ferry and Tears For Fears. You will find some of their rarer titles on this new collection which of course, has been fully re-mastered featuring old club cuts and edits. Even if you were not born in the 80’s or have any knowledge of the music that shaped today’s scene these collections are a very good point of call to catch up. I’m sure the guys have not finished digging deep into the decade yet and will surly dish out a ninth edition in the future. For now though, enjoy the latest classic gems.
