 John Askew and Discover go a long way back, right back to the label's birth back in 2002 when he launched it along side Pable Gargano. It's only right then that he should featured in the 7th release on the labels ''Trance Pioneer's' series...
John Askew may have moved into pastures new in the label world having jumped ship from Discover over to Paul Oakenfold’s Perfecto brand, but his legacy at the label remains. He produced many of the tunes which got the Discover name known on the scene and his early productions were banging, straight forward trance with an Askew edge attached. His early sound has a very unique style and still sounds fresh today.
The ‘Trance Pioneers’ series from Discover looks to gather together productions to those who have mad a real impact on the scene. Having released six editions before this featuring John O’Callaghan, Activa, Greg Downey, Thomas Datt, Sly One Vs Jurrane and Sean Tyas the series has just rolled out the seventh. You can enjoy classic John Askew gems like ‘Chime’, ‘The Advent Of Us’ and ‘Syklab’ with this very tasty collection.
