The Ibiza venue Bomba is now know as Boom! for this season having had a refurbishment. The mighty Yousef will be heading over there every Thursday for his Circus nights featuring Adam Bayer, Steve Lawler and Sasha over the course of the next 14 weeks...
Yousef brings his “Circus” to Ibiza; proudly announcing it’s inaugural season of 14 weeks, every Thursday at the Island’s newest and most talked about clubbing establishment, Booom!
Curated and presented by Yousef, Circus Ibiza will occupy Booom!’s Thursday program from its opening event on July 11th through to October 3rd.
As the clubbing institution celebrates 10 years of successful and legendary events in UK, Yousef Circus Ibiza will bring together and array of electronic music finest assets and friends of Circus alike, mixing a blend of the hottest fresh faced rave with seasoned ambassadors of house, to all tackle the incredibly well appointed one main room at Booom!.
The venue, Booom!, houses a bespoke handmade sounds system from Pioneer, built by the team that brought the legendary Phazon System. Each dj playing at Booom! will indeed have centre stage.
“We are equally as excited as nervous about arriving into ibiza. We are looking forward to some amazing nights and ready to learn a great deal, there is never been an us and them at any circus event, the people on the dance floor, are and always have been the most important part of Circus.” Yousef
Circus weekly Thursdays at Booom! features a weekly residency from Yousef, a man that has been a much-loved part of the Ibiza landscape for 15 years. Playing at every major club, Amnesia, Pacha, DC10 and of course a 4-year residency for Carl Cox at Space. From performing at the worlds best clubs and festivals or releasing music on labels such as Cocoon, Intec, Saved or more recently Defected, where "Beg" recently topped the Beatport deep house chart for over 8 weeks this year.
CIRCUS
When Yousef first conceived the idea of Circus over a decade ago, he wanted to promote a party in his then hometown of Liverpool for somewhere he could play quality electronic music and have fun. And from its first bass-reverberating session, Circus has evolved into one of the best house and techno parties on the planet. Circus has come a long way. What started off as a simple ‘small party’ in one room has become a globally recognised club night of immense stature, reaching a decade of brilliant parties which inspire its audience and DJs alike. Circus has hosted pretty much every iconic figure of dance music; Sven Vath, Carl Cox, Loco Dice, Luciano, Ricardo Villalobos, Carl Craig, Laurent Garnier (DJ sets & live), Marco Carola, Jamie Jones, Adam Beyer, Derrick Carter, DJ Sneak, Butch, Sasha, Seth Troxler, John Digweed, Aeroplane, Heidi, Dennis Ferrer, Magda, Heidi, Maya Jane Coles, Nick Curly, Tim Green, Raresh, Guy Gerber and many, many more have all contributed to the club’s illustrious history, whilst helping to set its future course.
Circus has enhanced Liverpool’s reputation as an epicentre for electronic music culture. Its revered status is augmented by the quality of its bookings and the loyalty of its crowd, crowned by the 10thanniversary celebrations in September 2012, and the series of X parties through the rest of the year. It’s a club whose founding ethos remains the same to this day: ‘serious music and fun times’. It’s also a club whom for each show gives a debut, introducing new talent to the city; Circus was the first to bring the likes of Loco Dice and Davide Squillace to the UK and among the first to champion now global stars like Seth Troxler and Jamie Jones
